Engineered Oak Shepperton

This was the ground floor of a house in Old Shepperton, Surrey which was undergoing full renovation therefore it was imperative to liaise with the builders to organise the work schedule. The Client wanted us to supply and fit a whitewash rustic oak floor. We used pre-finished engineered oak, 180mm wide, pre-oiled with a bevelled edge. This was stuck down with flexible adhesive on concrete and nailed on pine floorboards. The Client had specified that they wanted to the grain of the wood to be partially exposed through the finish, and this was created to his specification. We also allowed for coir mats to be sunk in at the front and rear doors. Boards of different thickness were used to enable maximum headroom in varying spaces. This particular job was completed in 4-5 days. We also created a twin trap door out of the flooring to the basement. This was requested to replicate an original trap door that was in the property.
